Forklift Tyne Extensions
Forklift slipper extensions are used for load stabilisation and are best described as a forklift attachment manufactured to temporarily provide additional length to a forklift tyne, making it capable of lifting larger and longer loads.
Also known as forklift tyne extensions, these attachments are ideal for lifting large crates and smaller machinery items. But these temporary extensions should not be used as a permanent fixture on forklifts and extreme caution should always be exercised when in use.
Our slippers come in a range of sizes which have a variety of loads they can handle at one time, and are compliant with the Australian Standard AS 2359.15, which basically states that forklift slippers should be no longer than 167% of the supporting tyne’s length for stabilisation purposes.
Please contact our knowledgeable forklift mechanics to discuss the compliance requirements if you are uncertain.
Australia Standard AS 2359.15
Working with heavy and dangerous materials requires the fork tyne slipper extension to be compliant with Australian Standard AS 2359.15, which ultimately specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture, marking and testing of powered industrial trucks and their attachments.
